The People's Vet follows the day to day life of the vets, nurses and care assistants in two of the UK's busiest charity pet hospitals: the PDSA in Kirkdale and Huyton.
In this episode there's a surprise in store for the owner of Casper the friendly rat, South African born vet Karla sees Lewy, a Staffie who's just itching to be treated, and head vet Stephen meets Ronin, a yappy Lhasa Apso who's driving her owner barking mad. Meanwhile, over at Huyton, vet David rasps a poorly rabbit's teeth, and Beth performs emergency surgery on Honey, an ageing German Shepherd with a life-threatening illness.
Huyton head vet Matt searches for the cause of wandering tomcat Loki's lame left leg. And love is in the air in the waiting room as inseparable American bulldog crosses Lexie and Floyd come in together to get her damaged teeth and his persistent runny nose checked over. Across town at Kirkdale, it's flea season, and Bengal cat Jack has some unwanted visitors. And young pup Milo faces some potentially life changing test results as to whether he's suffering from a rare liver condition.
In this episode, emotions run high as vet Beth battles to save Tilly the pug's damaged eye, while her colleague Karla treats Sky, the lurcher whose leg wound won't stop bleeding. The strays' room is home to Fang, the ferret that can't stop biting the hand that feeds it and a seagull that's fallen out of the sky. And Huyton head vet Matt faces a big decision about the future of beloved but ailing old spaniel Molly.
In this episode, at Kirkdale, Buddy the adorable shih-tzu puppy needs 24-hour care to keep him alive, Bobby the kitten has a complicated castration and Bear the rat goes under the knife to have a nasty looking lump removed. Meanwhile, over at Huyton, Winston the Yorkshire terrier has a life-changing hip operation - and there's a tail with a happy ending for Megan the cat, following her disagreement with a door.
