"Tombs" are places where "relics" that grant supernatural abilities to their owners lie dormant. Ryoga Goriki, who made a living by robbing these tombs, is betrayed by his employer and teeters on the brink of death, only to be saved by a mysterious crow. He awakens in the world 15 years ago, when the tombs first appeared.

Having exposed a corrupt gallery's smuggling operation and secured funds, Ryoga was about to resume his grave robbing activities, using his knowledge and experience, when a tomb suddenly appeared where his home once stood. There, he found someone already attempting to infiltrate.

What appeared before Ryoga was a tomb where the artifact "Japanese sword Muramasa" rested. A malevolent aura permeated the interior, and many ordinary people were trapped inside. Ryoga finds himself in conflict with Rui, a member of the excavation team from the Republic of Bento, over "Muramasa"...

Ryoga uses Yuka Sasaki, the owner of the artifact "Future Record," to obtain the contents of the future predictions. Based on the information written there, he participates in "Midas," the world's largest secret auction held in Las Vegas.

Having gained the support of the future "Bankruptcy Queen" Irene Holton, Ryoga wins the auction against Taisei Okawara and acquires the artifact "Elixir of Immortality." However, Okawara's subordinate, Ito, then contacts Ryoga...

Ryoga and Okawara finally face off directly. Okawara overwhelms Ryoga with the immense power of the "Relic of Conquest," but Karasu warns that this will awaken other relics. At that moment, a massive earthquake strikes, and gigantic tombs appear all over the world.

Ryoga beheads Okawara, who had tried to lure him into his ranks. However, Okawara, possessing the "Relic of Achilles," is immortal. In order to restore the relic, which was damaged in the battle, Ryoga asks Irene to search for a certain person.

Ryoga rescues Kotaro Yanagi, an artifact restorer who had been beaten up by Okawara, and brings him into his group. Then, Edward, a middleman, offers them a job with a large reward. The client is General Keira Clark, known as the "War King."

Ryoga outsmarted Kiira and obtained the map artifact "Captain Zheng's Oceanographic Chart." He had Kotaro make a fake copy and gave it to Kiira, planning to use it as a stepping stone to destroy the other map artifacts she possessed.

An international organization called Pandora is founded to keep relics out of the hands of citizens.
