Transformers: Energon is the direct sequel to Transformers: Armada and is the second part of the "Unicron Trilogy" animations (the third part being Transformers: Cybertron).

Several years have passed since the war over the Microns, and peace has settled over Earth... yet a new threat arises. Human and Robot must join forces and discover the true evil threatening Planet Earth.
It's been 10 Earth years since the events in Armada, The Autobots and Decepticons are living in peace and are mining for Energon which'll help them restore Cybertron. But a villian named Alpha Q (AKA Alpha-Quintession) has sent a powerful Decepticon named Scorponok and a group of Transformer drones called the Terrorcons to raid the Energon mining settlement and gather enough Energon to restore Unicron. He also had Scorponok gather the Decepticons one by one to gather Energon to revive Megatron. It's up to Optimus Prime and the Autobots, the Omnicons, and a boy named Kicker to stop the forces of evil from stealing all the Energon.
