Its name: Queimada Grande, known to locals as Snake Island.The legendary bounty that launched this quest, known as the "Treasure of the Trinity," has eluded all who have sought it for almost 500 years. In the 16th century, Portuguese conquistadors cut their way through uncharted Brazilian jungles and reportedly stole a vast horde of Incan gold. Ever since, people have spilled blood, burned villages, and evaded marauding pirates to hold on to this treasure, but it vanished into history.Now, armed with advanced technology, our team of explorers will have to unearth and solve a number of complex clues that have protected the treasure for centuries. But most of all, they'll need nerves of steel as they brave modern-day pirates, perilous weather, and one of the most dangerous places in the world, where one misstep could cost them not just incredible riches, but ultimately their lives on Treasure Quest.
A critical clue on Snake Island sends the team into the dangerous Paraguayan jungle, with more deadly predators than before. A historic artifact brings them closer to the treasure, but two life-threatening encounters nearly end the expedition.
The team finds even more artifacts that lead them closer to treasure. They meet with a local historian who gives them an invaluable clue, but also a warning about the treasure's dark and cursed past, forcing them to reconsider their strategy.
The team uncovers proof of treasure in the jungle near a historic mission, and a spooky visit to an antique black market yields a tantalizing taste of Jesuit silver, leading them up one of the most dangerous rivers and deeper into the cursed history.
Misfortune chases the team when a deadly caiman sets its sights on Mehgan, but then a potentially crippling accident leads to an astounding find, a coded message from the past that could bring them one step close to the Incan Gold.
The treasure hunters make a historic discovery in a cave system, but not one they expected, and a run-in with a jaguar leads to another revelation, but the new trajectory has tragic consequences for Captain Keith.
After a tragic event on their way to a Guarani village, the team secures vital information from the village elders who speak of a special stone hidden near The Demon Falls that carries directions to the resting spot of a legendary fortune.
The team tracks down a unique marker, taking them to a maze-like location riddled with waterfalls and caves. Their determination pays off as they start unearthing priceless artifacts and hone in on the resting place of the treasure of the trinity.
