Grandpa Vinny has foolishly purchased a terribly run-down home for the elderly and he is in way over his head, but comedy ensues as Mr. Brown and Cora show up at the right time as needy investors.
New resident Travis Pitstop Gaffney, a trucker from the backwoods, shows up at Pleasant Days, and the assisted living crew struggles to find common ground; Philip's new tutoring gig takes an awkward turn.
Mr. Brown and Anastasia argue that hypnosis isn't real until Mr. Brown is under and becomes his idol, Kung Fu Soul Brotha.
When Philip begins dating a wealthy girl at school and arrives home in a Tesla, Leah and Jeremy demand he break it off until they begin receiving gifts hard to turn down.
The men learn how inferior Father's Day is to Mother's Day after they go all out for Mother's Day but the women don't do the same for Father's Day. Mr. Brown convinces Jeremy to take command in his relationship.
