Hazen Audel relives some of the most astonishing stories of wilderness survival from World War II.
Hazen Audel braves the largest mountain plateau in Europe to retrace the escape of Norwegian commandos who thwarted Hitler's creation of an atomic bomb during World War II. Audel follows their journey across Norway's frozen peaks - encountering dangerous, frigid weather. Equipped with only the rudimentary equipment the commandos had, he will push himself to the limits of human endurance.
Survival expert Hazen Audel is in the Solomons, a far-flung chain of Pacific islands, to retrace the 43-day survival journey of Lt. Hugh Miller. Shipwrecked during World War II, Miller faced off against shark-infested waters, miles of thick jungle and a Japanese enemy determined to hunt him down. Armed with the same equipment, Audel puts himself and his bushcraft skills to the ultimate test.
Hazen Audel battles the jungles of Thailand, mirroring the escape of 10 prisoners from a brutal Japanese labor camp along the Thai-Burma "Death" Railway during World War II. Armed with only the supplies the prisoners had, he must travel over 25 miles through Thailand's dangerous mountain rainforests to reach a small town on the Thai-Burmese border.
Survival expert Hazen Audel retraces the epic journey of escaped prisoner of war Dudley Perkins - a New Zealander who evaded capture on the Nazi-occupied Mediterranean island of Crete for more than a year. Hazen follows in Dudley's footsteps through freezing mountains, treacherous gorges and sea-battered coastlines to experience what it takes to survive in this harsh environment and get out alive.
