It is a news item that has marked the last decades. That of the Petit Grégory Affair. On October 16, 1984, Gregory, 4 years old, disappeared. A few hours later, he was found, drowned, in the Vologne, bound hand and foot, his cap covering his face. A murder which occurs within a family persecuted for years by a mysterious crow, author of anonymous letters and calls.
While the gendarmes believe they have the culprit for Grégory's death in the person of Bernard Laroche, their witness reconsiders his confession, which seems to bring the investigation to a standstill. But new unexpected witnesses quickly bring to light a new theory...
The gendarmes were removed from the investigation and replaced by the Nancy SRPJ, led by Commissioner Corazzi, convinced of the guilt of Christine Villemin, the child's mother. Feeling abandoned by everyone, Jean-Marie plans to take justice into his own hands...
The noose tightens around Christine Villemin while Jean-Marie must face the consequences of his act. The media coverage of the affair became even more spectacular when the prestigious Marguerite Duras was invited to go to the Vosges and published a column...
Christine Villemin, imprisoned, begins a hunger strike to protest, quickly imitated by her husband. On the advice of her lawyer, she publishes a book to defend herself but this strategy backfires and pushes her to the limit.
