The series focuses on three teen couples who are entirely unprepared to have a child and their parents or grandparents who must step in and help through this huge life change. Tensions mount between the families as everyone has conflicting ideas for what is best for the young parents and their child - from where they will live to whether or not they should get married.
Kayleigh's labor begins, and she's frustrated with the lack of support; Jenna attends custody court back in Pennsylvania; Emalee isn't a fan of living at Taryn's; Dakwon gives Aniyah a promise ring, but announces that he's enlisting in the military.
An in-depth look is taken at the complicated issues surrounding teenage pregnancy as the lives of three pregnant teens are followed, but things get heated when tensions rise between them and their families, who are just as shocked by the news.
Kayleigh has a successful C-section, and welcomes baby Easton; at her bachelorette, a surprise stripper makes Lilly uncomfortable and infuriates Lawrence; Emalee and Westley have moved out of Taryn's, putting Nate in the middle.
Kayleigh, her friends and Mandy, all doubt that Graham will step up to the plate in the future; stressed about her custody situation, and distanced from Dalanie, Jenna finds out she's pregnant.
