unknown.
Introducing a new visual approach to true crime storytelling, Unmasking a Monster: Aileen Wuornos presents next generation visualizations of documented first-person accounts from Wuornos, those close to her, and the investigators who worked the case, accounts previously available only in verified transcripts, documented evidence, and chronicled firsthand testimony. The series brings a new dimension to the story of Wuornos and the investigation that brought her to justice - through the perspectives of those who lived it.
Someone is murdering men on Florida's highways. An undercover officer tracks the serial killer to a bar and comes face to face with Aileen Wuornos.
Working with her ex-girlfriend, detectives set a trap for Wuornos. When she steps willingly into the interrogation room, her story shocks them.
When the world finally hears from Wuornos herself, she claims that the killings were in self-defence. If a jury doesn't believe her, she will die.
