Next Episode of Vanilla Ice Goes Amish is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
It's a culture clash, indeed. How does one cope without a smart phone, car and -- especially on construction projects, where power tools are the norm -- electricity? Rapper-turned-renovator Vanilla Ice (aka Rob Van Winkle) finds out in a big way in this series, a follow-up to his popular DIY program "The Vanilla Ice Project". With no frills and no music -- but still topped with his favorite flat-brimmed baseball caps -- Ice visits a large Amish settlement in Ohio to learn the lost art of craftsmanship by hand. He embeds with a local family and bonds with a group of young Amish men and women, who teach him the traditions, practices and trades that have guided their way of life for centuries. Among the projects Ice and his newfound friends tackle are a kitchen reconstruction, a traditional barn-raising, a backyard patio, and a basement renovation.
Vanilla Ice returns to Ohio to help build a year-round hunting cabin; Rob's chores include an early morning pig stall-cleaning and a showdown with a Billy goat; John challenges Rob to another shootout for a chance to win his buggy back.
Vanilla Ice and Albert help renovate the exterior of a 100-year-old home; Vanilla Ice tries coffee soup.
Vanilla Ice works with Leon to build a master bedroom and bathroom retreat for a New Order Amish family; Amish games.
Vanilla Ice and the Winesburg crew are hired to customize an outdoor space for a Mennonite family including a thermal-controlled conservatory and a color-infused stamped-concrete patio; Rob tries plowing the Amish way.
Vanilla Ice and Melvin check out a horse that Jon may want to buy; a buggy race ensues; bedrooms for kids and a windmill.
As a parting gift, Rob builds bleachers and a concession stand on an Amish wagon at a community baseball field.
