Akira lives a peaceful life with his older sister Haruka and his mother, who runs a cafe. The family, however, harbors a secret — Haruka has inherited a power from her father called "Engine," and she hides that power from others. Akira, on the other hand, has not inherited his father's power, and he has an inferiority complex about it. Amidst this, strange events begin to occur around the world.
When the global network is disrupted, Haruka must use a power inherited from her father to protect her family.
Just after Akira's hidden power reveals itself, two unfamiliar women appear before him.
Haruka and Akira depart for Hokkaido with Eleanor and Lala to find the fifth Vertex.
On a deserted island, Lala devises a plan to use Akira as bait to lure EDVA to them.
As Lala works through the night alone to analyze the Battlenoid, the other four decide to make coffee for her.
