Maria, Esther and Cristina are three adult and complex women who are right in the middle of a life crisis. They have realized that the plans they had made for themselves haven't really gotten them the long-promised happiness they yearned for. Together, they will find alternatives and make decisions that will lead them away from what society expects from them. They will soon realize that life doesn't necessarily have to be what they always imagined.
Esther takes a job to avoid Júlia – and her wedding doubts. Gari struggles with the outcome of his driver's test and ill-timed news of María and Xosé's rekindled flame. Cris breaches her agreement with Pablo.
While Esther remains apprehensive about their impending nuptials, Júlia immerses herself in her fiancé's world. As he grows closer to María and Juanito, Xosé gets cold feet. Cris ignores Pablo's plea for monogamy.
A few days before her wedding, Esther brings María and Cris on spiritual retreat – and promptly goes AWOL. Xosé curries favor after helping Gari and Mónica rescue a wounded bird.
On her wedding day, Esther must finally make a choice. Meanwhile, Cris is forced to confront the state of her own marriage, and María contemplates the future of her relationships with her son, her exes, and herself.
