“Watatatow” which supposedly means that it is simply an expression of joy but it’s not a real word as it was made up by the shows’ producers. This show airs 4 days a week Tuesday through Friday from 4:30 to 5:30 on “CBC” which is Radio-Canada’s national French language TV network. When this series began on 17 September 1991 it was broadcast for only 30 minutes each day. Also in the beginning they would tape as many as 104 episodes for each season, showing 4 times a week over a 26-week period. This series was a youth oriented show that covered the many problems of young adults and adolescents. Some of the problems that were covered over the years included personal and social issues, anorexia, clinical depression, cults, peer pressure, pregnancy, sexual harassment, suicide and substance abuse.
