With the arrival of a new term, new staff and new pupils, it's all go at Waterloo Road, but it's not long before Jack finds himself facing a striking staff and a school in chaos. For loved-up Chlo and Donte the first day back means only one thing - walking down the aisle together.

S03E02 - Episode 2 Air Date: 18 October 2007 19:00 -

Steph's incompetence when dealing with a vulnerable child is unintentionally exposed by new English teacher Jasmine. Eddie is left to pick up the pieces and finds a novel solution to the boy's problems, and in the process Jack has to face his worst fears. Auditions for Matt's musical get off to an amusing start while Eddie exposes a school fight club. As Brett begins tutoring Chlo a spark ignites between them.

The fund-raising efforts of the girls' football team lands them - and Jack - in hot water. Donte plans an escape from the claustrophobic Grainger house with his new wife, but Chlo seems more interested in Brett. Jack and Steph get intimate.

Steph's decision to keep a pupil's secret has potentially serious consequences for drama teacher Matt. Jack's got love on his mind as he and Davina take their relationship to the next level. Donte's romantic surprise backfires, with devastating results.

The effects of Chlo's error of judgement ripple throughout the whole school. Pressure mounts on Jack when he's forced to offer the lead role in the musical to Aleesha. Staffroom gossip forces Jack to confess to Davina.

Jack is called to account for past decisions and faces the biggest challenge of his career. Tom struggles to keep his new family together. Grantly's gambling spirals out of control.

A new head teacher arrives, with big plans for the school and a determination to root out failing teachers. The guilt about Chlo's disappearance is eating Mika up and Chlo finds herself in grave danger - but will Tom find her in time?

Eddie is keen to prove Rachel wrong with his 'bad boys' trip but things go wrong and he is forced to make a life or death decision. Rachel tries to keep a lid on things with Chlo's return to school. Her high profile approach to truancy unwittingly puts a little boy in danger.

A police investigation kicks off when Janeece makes a shock discovery during an archaeological dig. Rachel forces Eddie to confront issues from his past. Mika shares a secret with Brett.

Matt is thrown into a panic when Rachel announces the school musical is to be performed earlier in the day for a VIP audience. Eddie's ex turns up out of the blue, while Tom discovers Grantly's personal life is more troubled than he'd realised.

In a last-ditch attempt to stop Bolton from leaving school, Rachel takes the kids on a prison trip. The teachers experience exam pressure for themselves. Tom hides his relationship with Davina from Chlo and Mika.

Davina is flattered when one of the parents develops a crush on her. Rachel is thrown into turmoil when her past comes back to haunt her. Mika discovers Tom and Davina have been having a relationship behind her back.

When Jasmine intervenes in an altercation between bully Michaela and a younger pupil, she has no idea the day will end in her suspension. Meanwhile, romance may be in the air for Brett and Mika, and Stuart apologises to Rachel for blackmailing her - but just how genuine is he?

Matt is thrown into a panic when his mother shows up out of the blue and almost discovers his biggest secret. Meanwhile Eddie tries to persuade a reluctant Jasmine to fight Michaela's allegations of bullying and save her job at Waterloo Road.

Supply teacher Wilson makes an impression on Janeece but panic ensues when the pair disappear and the truth about Wilson is revealed. Eddie confronts Rachel about her past and issues her an ultimatum.

In a battle of wills, Mika defies Tom as she stages an environmental protest on the new building site. Rachel hatches a plan to stop Eddie resigning as her deputy.

With Rachel's support, the school rallies round a pupil facing deportation and Eddie lays a trap for Stuart when he discovers his maltreatment of Bolton.

Steph's devastated when her language lab funding falls through and goes into full seduction mode to win the money back, meanwhile Davina faces a life changing decision when she has to choose between two men.

When the last day of term turns into a terrifying ordeal for the staff and students at Waterloo Road, the exposure of Rachel's secret and the cheating ring revelations are the least of their problems.
