Early dawn, October 6, 1976. Amidst the roaring gunfire and explosions echoing across the university campus, Rawin and his friends lost everything in the blink of an eye. Left with no choice, he stepped onto a path of no return. Rawin chose to abandon his comfortable life and disregard his mother's desperate pleas, venturing deep into the dense jungle toward a land of shared ideology with his comrades. Within the dark and perilous wilderness, fate brought him face-to-face with Comrade Yue, a calm and cold-hearted young fighter who saved Rawin's life from a deadly animal trap just in the nick of time. Surrounded by exhausting hardships and the heavy weight of their ideals, an unspoken feeling quietly began to form between them—like a faint starlight still shining through the darkest night. And perhaps... on the road to "Baan Saeng Dao." This is the beginning of a journey that is not just a battle for their ideals, but a story of a deep bond slowly forging under the starlight.
Rawin is given the new name Saeng, and begins his harsh training and life at the base. He is assigned to the Military Unit, and through danger and crisis, the distance between him and Yue quietly begins to close.
After joining the combat unit, Saeng steps into a storm of gunfire and pulls the trigger for the first time. Amid the chaos of battle, he also feels Yue's unwavering protection for the first time.
Saeng gives a cockscomb flower to Yue, only to unexpectedly learn its flirtatious meaning: "I want to get to know you." Under the starlit sky, Yue finally confesses his feelings to Saeng.
Comrade Ploeng tragically sacrifices himself after falling into an ambush. Yue is consumed by guilt over his death, and finally admits that Saeng is the person he wants to protect.
