The Commissioner's Cup presented by Coinbase is an annual in-season competition, which features 61 games this year, with a prize pool of $500,000 in the Championship Game for the players and at least $165,000 in charitable donations throughout this year's series. At the end of Commissioner's Cup play, the team with the highest winning percentage in each conference will face off in a Championship Game. New this year, the Championship Game will take place at the home venue of the team with the highest winning percentage in Commissioner's Cup play.

The Championship Game will be the culmination of the fourth edition of the Commissioner's Cup presented by Coinbase, the WNBA's in-season competition that designates a portion of regular-season conference games in the first half of the season as "Commissioner's Cup games."
The Liberty, 5-0 in Commissioner's Cup play, earned the right to host the Lynx (4-1) in the Championship Game of the Commissioner's Cup presented by Coinbase by virtue of having a higher winning percentage (.846) in all regular season games played through June 13.

It will feel a lot like 2023 when the New York Liberty play host to the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA Commissioner's Cup championship game Tuesday.
The teams clashed for both the Commissioner's Cup title and the league championship in 2023 with the Liberty winning the midseason tournament, while the Aces came out on top in four games for the overall league title.
The teams have combined to win the last four WNBA championships, with the Aces also winning in 2022 and 2025 while the Liberty won in 2024. The Aces won the Commissioner's Cup title in 2022 before New York denied them a repeat in 2023.
