Dr Orla is trying to save the life of 81-year-old Theresa who is struggling to breathe. In East London, at Newham Hospital, Dr Daniel is concerned for a man rushed in after being found unconscious in a kebab shop.

At Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, an ambulance races to A&E with George, a non-verbal 23-year-old with a life-threatening neurological emergency. In Belfast, at the Royal Victoria Hospital A&E, 34-year-old midwife Rachel is suffering severe pain in her spine and is feared to have cauda equina syndrome after back surgery.
