ABC's longest-running primetime entertainment show, America's Funniest Home Videos, returns for season 26 this fall with the same mission -- giving families something genuinely funny to enjoy together on Sunday nights. Along with a new host, the upcoming season will welcome an abundant supply of fresh clips to keep families laughing from coast to coast."AFV," the longest-running primetime entertainment show in ABC history, returns for season 27 with the same mission - to provide viewers with hysterical moments that fly by at a dizzying pace.
"America's Funniest Home Videos" kicks off its 18th season with all-new footage of what happens when adults, children and even inanimate objects are at their spontaneous best. Season premiere highlights include a practical joke played on a teen who bites into a burger with a fake bug inside; hair-raising footage of exceptionally hirsute men; and when shellfish attack - a man having an unfortunate encounter with a clam.
Clips include folks having a really bad day at work, kids making really big messes, and a parrot who has some choice words for a cat.
"AFHV" salutes the scariest night of the year with some frighteningly funny clips, including footage of people being scared silly by some ghoulish costumes.
Funny footage in this episode includes cats and dogs who don't get along.
Footage includes a stingy cat who parcels food out to dogs one piece at a time, plus Tom's home movies.
Clips include a little girl who mistakes her brother's jock strap for a face mask, and another who spills hot chocolate all over her brother.
Seven finalists from across the country will compete for the first $100,000 prize of the season. Tis the season on "America's Funniest Home Videos," with holiday-themed clips that include a montage of Santa mishaps (26 Santa falls in 35 seconds!), a little boy who loses some loose teeth when he tries to open gift wrapping with his mouth, plus kitchen snafus.
Clip highlights include funny football mishaps, what happens when a little girl gets a green bean stuck up her nose, and a man who cuts a tree down only to have it fall not quite where he planned.
Among the clips: A little girl is overwhelmed with emotion when her mom surprises her with a playhouse, a video package of kids saying the funniest things, and what happens when a groom calls his new wife by the wrong name during the wedding toast.
Clip highlights include a montage of trampoline mishaps and a man who screams like a little girl during a roller coaster ride.
The best practical jokes in the history of the show, including the video deemed the greatest gag ever in 18 years of primetime hilarity, are featured in "AFV's" Top 10 Practical Joke Countdown. Clip highlights include a man scared by Dracula jumping out of a coffin, a man who dresses as the Grim Reaper to scare his mom, practical jokes that backfire, fake lotto pranks, a dad who fools his son into thinking he's slept through the night and that it's time for school, and a guy who teases his terrified buddy with a large iguana.
Clip highlights include a boy who plays a practical joke on his mom by giving her a box of worms as a gift, and a man whose water slide ride ends in disaster. Also: Animals do the craziest things - viewers see what happens when a dog jumps off a boat to chase a dolphin and when an ostrich attacks a woman.
"America's Favorite Pets" are featured in hilarious footage of dogs, cats and other pets, including a dog who sneaks into a refrigerator and destroys the contents -- right down to the shelves -- pets who talk, and a montage of sneaky animal thieves.
Five finalists from across the country will compete for the second $100,000 prize of the season on "America's Funniest Home Videos." One online sweepstakes winner will also win a 7-Night Disney Cruise Line vacation to the Mexican Riviera, sailing from the Port of Los Angeles. Nominees include a little boy and his comical first experience with a water fountain; a man who becomes the main attraction at a water park; two siblings' hilarious reaction when they find out if mom's expecting a baby boy or a baby girl; a toddler who can't tear himself away from his grandpa's Corvette; and a tough guy who has a close encounter with a praying mantis.
Clips include a woman on a roller coaster ride who swallows a bug; a misguided mascot who runs into a wall at a game; a man who finds his dog has shredded paper towels all over the house; what happens when a buffalo charges a tour bus at a wild animal park; and a newlywed couple arguing during their wedding video wish.
Highlights include funny family moments, like a man passing out while taping his wife giving birth and a little boy telling grandpa he heard he was a cheapskate. The episode also features hidden camera footage of a dog stealing pizza from the fridge and a music montage of people's reactions on roller coasters.
"America's Funniest Home Videos," the longest-running primetime show in ABC history, celebrates another landmark, its 400th episode. Highlights include wedding mishaps, college kids making a homemade water slide and sliding through dorm halls, and a little girl who makes a big mess with chocolate powder.
On the two-hour Season Finale of "America's Funniest Home Videos," three $100,000 video prize winners will return to the show to compete for the Grand Prize, their choice of an Adventures by Disney vacation out of 10 select trips to some of the most desired locations around the world. In addition to the video prize winner, two lucky sweepstakes entrants will also be selected to win an Adventures by Disney trip.
