There is no Next Episode of Big Fish Texas planned.
Through years of hard work, legendary Gulf of Mexico fisherman Buddy Guindon built up his fishing business and opened Katie's Seafood Market. Now he's got his whole family involved. Buddy's son Nick runs the business side of the company, and he's got an order for 15,000 pounds of fish that needs to be caught in 36 hours. With no crew available to help with the request, Buddy must go out with his brother, Kenny , and son Hans to do it themselves.
A recent quota increase has made the family business even busier. Nick Guindon must manage the bustling fish house and his overbearing father.
Hans takes his crew on a journey around the Gulf to hunt the monster known as the "Warsaw" in order to prove his legendary status.
Buddy takes a back seat in the day-to-day operations at Katie's, leaving Nick and Hans to find out firsthand the pressures of being in charge.
When Nick learns that he's 10,000 pounds short on a snapper order, he turns to Hans and Kenny for help. Kenny has been Katie's Seafood's go-to guy for years, but his cocky nephew Hans claims to be the best fisherman in the family. The two decide to split the order, and settle the score by competing to catch 5K pounds of snapper first. Meanwhile, Buddy is involved in his own battle: recreational fishermen in the Gulf of Mexico are illegally catching snapper out of their season, and Buddy takes it upon himself to find out who's behind this and prevent them from damaging the fishery. Adding to the challenges at Katie's Seafood, Ricky struggles to fix problems with the online shipping boxes after a customer complains of spoiled fish.
With a huge order to fulfil, Hans struggles to find a spot where the snapper are biting; Kenny busies himself with boat repairs.
Katie's Seafood gets an unexpected offload of snapper; Buddy prevents Kenny and his crew from going fishing.
Hating the market, Chris goes to work on the water with Kenny. The extra help comes just in time after two of Kenny's deckhands become unable to work.
