Next Episode of Рожденные в СССР is
Season 5 / Episode 6 and airs on 30 October 2026 00:00
The documentary series "Born in the USSR" is a unique cinematic chronicle that began in 1989 and has been running for more than thirty years. The series' creators follow the lives of twenty children from different republics of the former Soviet Union, revisiting their stories every seven years. Today, the protagonists have grown up, and we see how their dreams, personalities, and outlooks on life have changed, and how they navigate the pivotal moments of their own coming of age and the maturation of the society around them.
Seven years later, the same film crew tracked down the same children and shot the second installment of the film—*14-Year-Olds: Born in the USSR*. The overall concept is the same: how children are growing up in what is now post-Perestroika Russia (as it turned out, not all of them remained in Russia).
