Next Episode of Рожденные в СССР is
Season 5 / Episode 6 and airs on 30 October 2026 00:00
The documentary series "Born in the USSR" is a unique cinematic chronicle that began in 1989 and has been running for more than thirty years. The series' creators follow the lives of twenty children from different republics of the former Soviet Union, revisiting their stories every seven years. Today, the protagonists have grown up, and we see how their dreams, personalities, and outlooks on life have changed, and how they navigate the pivotal moments of their own coming of age and the maturation of the society around them.
This film is the fourth installment in a long-term cinematic study of the lives of people who have turned twenty-eight. They now live in different countries and even on different continents. They have different upbringings, educations, and eye shapes. We filmed them when they were seven, then at fourteen, twenty-one, and now the first circle of life has come full circle. But there is one thing that will always unite these people: they were born in an empire that no longer exists — the USSR.
