Book-smart Brit Barnaby gets a worldly wake-up call when a deal goes bad and NYC tough girl Nina rocks up to help - with trouble not far behind.
Nina and Barnaby need half a million pounds if they are to save their kidnapped mothers. And they need it fast. Barnaby's hatched a plan but Leah seems to have her own agenda. But is he mad enough to think the Shermans will let him flee the country?
Talked out of avenging his brother's death, Angel heads to England. But he has no idea how close he comes to Nina, the woman whose blood he's looking to spill. Barnaby, Leah and Nina are desperate to free Fiona and Maria, but just as they are about to swing into action, they are dragged in for questioning and the statues vanish. With time rapidly running out, they need to strike a deal that'll please both the kidnappers and the cartel. But first, they need to escape Detective Suleiman's clutches.
Backed into a corner by Angel, the gang have no choice but to get into the Shermans' super-secure mansion and steal the statues back by force. That way, they can cover their debts and Nina and her family can start afresh. But it's not going to be an easy op. If they're to pull it off, Nigel and Barnaby will need to work together. But Barnaby's reluctant. After all, he couldn't think less of his dad right now.
Barnaby and Leah fly to Mexico to give the cartel what they were promised once and for all. But Nina's been kidnapped and is suddenly along for the ride, which causes major tension between Angel and his father. Nina is thrown when she runs into a familiar face, while Leah and Barnaby are in danger of falling apart just when they need to be together most. Can Barnaby pull off the deal? Will Nina escape Angel? And could Leah be up to something no one knows about?
