grown-ish follows the Johnson's eldest daughter Zoey as she heads off to college and quickly discovers that not everything goes her way once she leaves the nest. The series is a contemporary take on the current issues facing both students and administrators in the world of higher education. Zoey and Charlie, an adjunct marketing professor, will be joined by new characters both in the administration and student body who reflect the complex and hilarious points of view that populate college campuses.
Andre is inspired by an elusive, anonymous artist on campus named The Squid and hopes to make them his client - but he's got to find them first. Doug and Aaron look for direction at a strip club.
Doug asks Andre and Aaron to put aside their differences to help him impress a restaurant critic. Aaron learns surprising news about his mentor at Cal U, while Andre attempts to find an investor for his fledgling management company.
Zoey returns to LA to produce a California-themed fashion show to put Anti-Muse on the map. Andre, eager to flex his manager skills to impress his sis, oversteps. Aaron and Zoey try to navigate their post-breakup friendship.
