As the group gears up to attend a Black Lives Matter march, Ben struggles with various obstacles, including his mother, Dayleen, who has called everyone in her phone book to prevent him from going.
Annie, feeling the quarantine fatigue, decides to move back in with her parents in Florida. Ben and Rufus join forces to stop her by revealing a controversial email that forces Annie to confront her parents.
Ellis throws a virtual version of her annual Halloween party, determined to not let quarantine ruin her cherished tradition. Just as Ben gears up to make a move on Annie, a handsome stranger enters the picture.
On the eve of the 2020 election, the group grapples with their own personal uncertainties and life decisions.
