A documentary series follows some of the most dramatic moments in Norway's history and a look at how they have influenced us. All culprits--people responsible, victims, witnesses and government authorities--are given the chance to speak out and tell the story from their point of view.
November 26, 1999: At 19.08, MS "Sleipner" encounters the Great Bloksen off Haugesund. Within 45 minutes, the ship sinks. All 85 people on board end up in the icy November water, some without a lifejacket. 16 people are killed.
February 12, 1994: The whole world's eyes will soon rejoice in the opening ceremony during the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. At the National Gallery in Oslo, two men arrive with the goal of stealing one of the world's most famous paintings, Edvard Munch's "Scream".
January 4, 2000: At Åsta, south of Rena in Østerdalen, a local train on the road from Hamar collides with a remote train from Trondheim. Fuel leaks out of the trains, leading to a violent fire. Of the 86 passengers on board, 19 people perish.
April 5, 2004: Just after 8 am in the morning, Norsk Kontantservice, NOKAS - in the basement of Norges Bank in Stavanger, was brutally robbed for over NOK 57 million.
