Next Episode of Dept. Q is
unknown.
DCI Carl Morck is a brilliant cop but a terrible colleague. His razor-sharp sarcasm has made him no friends in Edinburgh police. After a shooting that leaves a young PC dead, and his partner paralysed, he finds himself exiled to the basement and the sole member of Department Q; a newly formed cold case unit. The department is a PR stunt, there to distract the public from the failures of an under-resourced, failing police force that is glad to see the back of him. But more by accident than design, Carl starts to build a gang of waifs and strays who have everything to prove. So, when the stone-cold trail of a prominent civil servant who disappeared several years ago starts to heat up, Carl is back doing what he does best - rattling cages and refusing to take no for an answer.
DCI Carl Morck returns to work after a near-fatal incident and finds himself head of a new department. A prosecutor faces a tough day in court.
As Carl and his new assistant start digging into their first cold case, he can't stop his personal demons encroaching on his professional life.
Carl and Akram recreate the fateful ferry journey on their way to the Isle of Mhòr. A frustrated Rose makes her case for joining their Department.
Rose goes to the island to find out what Carl couldn't. Akram finds a note which sends the investigation in an entirely new direction.
The prosecutor's disappearance becomes connected with a death. A scuffle in a newspaper office sees Carl making headlines, and Moira sees a therapist.
The police detain a suspect for the Leith Park shooting. Carl returns to the scene of the crime, before losing his temper in public once again.

The kidnappers give their victim a clue as they press her for an answer to their question. Dept. Q gets closer to unravelling its own riddle.
A decades-old recording helps all the clues to fall into place. But as the pressure rises — in and out of the chamber — can Carl get there in time?
