Next Episode of Get Krack!n is
Season 2 / Episode 7 and airs on 20 March 2019 10:00
Each morning the Kates will shuffle through a roster of unsafe demonstrations, surly guests, underprepared experts and the over-lit decomposition of the duo's already rocky relationship. McLennan and McCartney will leave no cultural touchstone unturned, even though they are in no capacity qualified to speak on them, or on anything for that matter. As always, neither of the women has any sense of on-camera technique; while McCartney's Daria-esque enthusiasm is a total mis-match to the bright and breezy format, McLennan's hosting is imbued with a fetid air of desperation. The show should be McCartney and McLennan's big break, but like any televisual format that the Kates put their rough, manly hands to, things on Get Krack!n will go downhill fast.
It's the one day of the year that Get Krackin puts the focus on disability. But The Kates' ill-advised attempts at putting disabled people front and centre are gazumped by an announcement out of Parliament House.
Newly installed producer, Holly, has filled the show with easily digestible morning show fodder, but when McCartney and McLennan refuse to serve up their private lives for the viewers to consume, the show grinds to a halt.
The Kates begrudgingly host a Saturday morning clip show called 'Back Krackin' and recap Get Krack!n's World Wide Environment Week, where they kicked off their hugely impactful Klimate Khangels Kampaign.
A reluctant McCartney and McLennan are joined on the couch by TV's Brendan O'Hara, the new, and permanent, co-host of their fantastic female-led show.
With numerous studio crew on a precautionary hiatus, the Kates are left to fend for themselves. It's a jam-packed show, if only they could be bothered to host it.
Having conquered the cut-throat world of satirical cooking shows, Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney take a Sassy Swipe at the bright chirpy world of morning TV, with their signature brand of social awkwardness.
