India's most successful game show is back with the 'Badshah of Bollywood', Shah Rukh Khan at the helm. Every Monday to Thursday at 9:00 p.m., tune in to your TV screens, and follow the fortunes of contestants in the Hot Seat.
KBC, in its new avataar, marks the return of SRK to television. The show, which was a national phenomenon in 2000 and 2005, promises to triple the magic and the excitement!
Announcing the launch of KBC, Mr. Sameer Nair, CEO, STAR Entertainment India said, "We are delighted to bring KBC alive once again. We are equally excited to have Shah Rukh Khan at the helm of the show in its new- GenNext avataar. The key essence of KBC is its ability to draw audiences in, engage them and most importantly, entertain them. Shah Rukh is undoubtedly our reigning King of Indian Cinema. His wit, charm, energy and style, coupled with the rock solid foundation of the show will come together to give audiences an extraordinary television viewing experience. We're confident that the SRK and KBC magic will draw viewers in day after day, week after week."
Shah Rukh Khan added, "I was pleasantly surprised when STAR offered me the show. I was a participant in season one of KBC...and little did I know one day I would be hosting it. It is a huge act to follow, that of Mr. Bachchan...but it also excites me that I am getting an opportunity to reach out...talk and interact with my audience through a medium where I began my career as an actor years ago. So here's looking forward to coming round a full circle...guess unlock kiya jaaye."
KBC continues to be produced by Siddhartha Basu's Synergy Communications. Every contestant will compete for the mega prize of Rs. 2 Crores! Given the magnitude of the show, the new avataar of KBC will feature the largest deployment of communication technology to ensure more calls through landlines and mobile phones in order to get a chance to sit on the Hot Seat with SRK.
