In Maigret, Chief Inspector Maigret and his team of maverick but loyal detectives, Les Maigrets, solve a series of complex crimes in Paris. Maigret's unconventional methods and unique sense of justice put him at odds with his superiors and the judicial system he is supposed to represent. Maigret must outwit some of Paris's most cunning and violent criminals, while dealing with his own troubled past.
Maigret investigates Paris bank robberies. He turns his attention to the murder of a burglar, Honoré Cuendet, until the robbers strike again.
Maigret anticipates the robbers' next move and gets the chance to confront Cuendet's killers. But, the robbers have a larger master plan.
The team is interrupted when Maigret is ordered to investigate death threats received by a billionaire businessman, Ferdinand Fumal.
As Maigret reels from regret, he suffers a blow in his personal life. Maigret digs into Fumal's life in order to understand him better.
A student is stabbed to death in the street. Maigret digs into the killer's psychology. Countess Sophie calls, fearing for her life.
Tragedy strikes in Saint-Fiacre as Maigret digs into secrets. Back in Paris, Maigret's talks with the killer have terrifying consequences.
