In the late 1970s, in a small provincial town, girls Manyunya and Narine live a joyful and adventurous life. Their everyday life is filled with pranks, friendship, the first childhood worries, and amusing misunderstandings that invariably involve adults: the strict but kind Granny, dad Misha, and Narine's parents, Nadya and Yura. Narine's younger sister, Karinka the "meteor," and her eternal "victim," Rubik, join the gang, making the stories even more unpredictable. From trying to tame a kitten and fix a car to playing "adults" and staging their own theatrical productions, the girls learn friendship, mutual support, and responsibility. Their pranks often turn into funny and sometimes even instructive lessons, but most importantly, Manyunya and Narine always stay together, turning their childhood into a true fairy tale.
