In a stunning, purpose-built commercial kitchen in Melbourne, they'll bake, blanche and broil their way towards a tasty trophy - an around-the-world trip working at globally-renowned restaurants and a cash prize. A fresh format promises an intensified viewing experience, but you'll still get to enjoy some of your favourite guest chefs and challenges.
The chefs compete in a Mystery Box Challenge using luxury ingredients, with abalone as a centrepiece.
Former actor then chef Peter Gilmore challenges the contestants to cook a poached chicken with scallops.
The top four chefs run pop-up restaurants serving Asian and European cuisine.
The three finalists face a trio of daunting challenges to decide the overall winner, including a leek and lobster terrine.
