Usually held in a different city each year, the live event spotlights contestants' performances in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Along with the coveted title, one lucky winner wins a contract with the Miss Universe Organisation and the use of an apartment in Trump Tower in New York City. For one year Miss Universe travels the world to raise awareness of AIDS, stress the importance of disease control, and to spread a general message of peace. The 64th Annual Miss Universe Pageant will air this year on FOX TV on Sunday, 20 December 2015.
Fox Broadcasting has picked up The 64th Annual Miss Universe Pageant, its new owner IMG and the Miss Universe Organization said today. The three-hour annual event will air live from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on December 20 at 7 PM ET live, and tape delayed on the West Coast.
