Locals have their own names for these enormous ape-like creatures, from Midnight Whistlers to the Wildman, but they're all Bigfoot in the end. Trapper and his team of expert hunters and outdoorsmen - including Jeff, Willy, Wild Bill, Huckleberry, and Buck - have spent their entire lives navigating Appalachia's rough terrain, surviving off the land, and practicing do-it-yourself resourcefulness in preparation for their toughest challenge yet: defending mountain communities from Bigfoot, the most legendary monster ever rumored to exist. Now, in the third season of Destination America's hit series Mountain Monsters, AIMS travels to remote corners of the Appalachian wilderness, putting a lifetime of training to the ultimate test, as they track and attempt to trap local Bigfoots across the region in a quest to prove they are fact, not folklore.
The Appalachian Investigators of Mysterious Sightings begin their epic quest to prove the existence of Bigfoot in Appalachia as they head out to central Kentucky after what they believe is the first Bigfoot to emerge from the Mammoth Cave system.
The team travels to Putnam County, WV, to investigate recent sightings of the Chupacabra, also known as the West Virginia Vampire. They build an elaborate maze trap in an attempt to capture the bloodsucking beast.
The team travels to eastern Kentucky to investigate an aggressive, Bigfoot-like beast known as the Wildman. They search for a missing eyewitness and build their largest and strongest trap to date.
The team is out for revenge as they head to Lincoln County, WV, to hunt down the hellhound that evaded them in the cornfields of Kentucky last autumn.
The team travels to Clay County, WV, to continue their investigation of the Yahoo that threw trees at them and destroyed their trap last autumn. They build an electrified steel cage trap to contain the aggressive Bigfoot.
The team travels to Washington County, PA, to investigate the Dustman, thought to be the fastest and most agile Bigfoot in the region. They must build a quicksand pit trap and rappel down a cliff at night to its cave lair.
The team heads to North Carolina in search of the Cherokee Devil, a Bigfoot thought to possess mind control abilities. When Buck has an encounter with the creature the team fights back, only to have another member fall under its spell.
The biggest rift in AIMS history erupts as the team continues their investigation of the Cherokee Devil, a savage Bigfoot that's already scarred two members of the crew.
Appalachian Investigators of Mysterious Sightings travel to Harrison County, Ohio to investigate "The Stonish Giant", a Bigfoot that Native American folklore says has a coat of fur so thick that it cannot be pierced by arrows.
The AIMS team heads back to Central Kentucky after a Bigfoot known as the "Squalling Savage" who locals believe is at war with another Bigfoot clan in the area.
The AIMS team heads to Blair County, PA looking for a Bigfoot known as the "Lightning Man". After meeting the eyewitnesses, the team believes that the key to this investigation may be a Native American lightning symbol hidden inside a secluded barn.
After discovering a carved stone the last time they were in Blair County, PA, the AIMS team returns looking for answers. While meeting with a Bigfoot expert the team realizes that they uncovered something that was not meant to be unearthed.
The most epic falls that are both hilarious and painful.
The Team heads to Lee County, VA after a Bigfoot that the Cherokee people feared most. After devising a Raven Wing Trap, they face to face with something they cannot explain, learning that there is something truly evil haunting the forests of Virginia.
The Team heads to Wirt County, WV after a Bigfoot known as the Ash Man that Huckleberry saw on his family's farm nearly 50 years ago. The team constructs their largest trap to date in order to capture the Ash Man.
The Team heads to Lee County, VA after a Bigfoot that the Cherokee people feared most. After devising a Raven Wing Trap, they face to face with something they cannot explain, learning that there is something truly evil haunting the forests of Virginia.
The AIMS team reunites for the first time with Trapper to get his opinion on how they should take on the legendary Raven Mocker. They soon learn that their only option is to face off against the Raven Mocker.
The Team heads to Wood County, WV after a Bigfoot known as The Phantom of the Forest and soon find themselves in a feud with local poachers. On the hunt they realize they're caught between a massive Bigfoot out for revenge and armed men out for blood.
The AIMS team heads back to Perry County, OH to go after The Ohio Grassman. They soon realize they are being followed by the rogue team that has been tracking them. The AIMS team attempts to shine a light on their identity.
The AIMS team continues their mission to discover the true identity of the Rogue Team. AIMS must make a decision on whether they should carry on with this deadly game of cat and mouse or if they should finally admit defeat and back down.
