The new Sunday Night Baseball package marks the return of Major League Baseball to NBC for the first time in more than two decades. The debut marks the beginning of a new three-year partnership between NBCUniversal and Major League Baseball and it comes on the heels of the debut season of Sunday Night Basketball, the first of an 11-year agreement between NBCU and the NBA.
Rookie sensation first baseman Munetaka Murakami and the first-place Chicago White Sox host All-Star Josh Bell and the division rival Minnesota Twins at Rate Field.
Seven-time All-Star third baseman Manny Machado and the San Diego Padres visit three-time All-Star Rafael Devers and the San Francisco Giants in an NL West matchup at Oracle Park.
