Six weeks later, Davis was captured, but the treasure had vanished. The search continues in Washington, Ga.; Larry excavates the grounds of a plantation; Brant explores the snake-infested woods.
Larry follows the direct route of Jefferson Davis; Brant wants to find where the treasure was reportedly stolen.
