Here we can follow swedish amateur chefs when they are taking a step out of their own kitchen to start cooking at elite level. The jury includes top chefs like Markus Aujalay, Leif Mannerström and Mischa Billing, and the contestants have to prove themselves worthy the highest prize.
The audition tour starts in Stockholm, and here the amateur chefs have gathered for a new career chance. Among the contestants we have Paul who loves to deep fry, and Catarina who is back for revenge.
The hunt for Sweden's best amateur chef continues south to Gothenburg and Helsingborg. The jury is being presented with impressive dishes and among the candidates there is a paramedic, a construction worker and a tailor who all dream of new careers.
40 of the jury's favorite will now compete for the finals in Gävle. They are faced with three tough challenges where they must show inventiveness and quickness when eggs, gravy and a swedish classics is on the menu. The pressure is huge when they jury must select the 25 best candidates.

A task many appreciates, but they can't be too confident, because time flies and it's the small details that can make it or break it. Then it is up to the jury to select the final 12 candidates.

It is time for a team challenge, that is held at a brewery where the teams must create two dishes where beer is included as an ingredient. The team that loses will face each other in an elimination challenge. There they must weigh in time against the amount of ingredients, where each ingredient will shave of some of the time.
The competitors are doing three different tacos. But time is short, and everybody is stressing into the last minute doing the final details that might break it or make it. Those who fails will have a chance in the elimination where they each get a mystery box. With the content, they have to make a complete dish, and the person who makes the worst will have to leave the competition.
It's time for a team challenge again and this time at a luxurious pub in Stockholm. The theme is white and the competitors must create a first course and a main course for a bunch of famous and picky guests. The losing team will face each other in a elimination contest where they must make a lemon dessert.
Renée Voltaire, who is a pioneer in the swedish vegetarian kitchen, is making a guest appearance for the competitors. Their next challenge is to cook a vegetarian dish. And it seems to be a difficult task and those who doesn't impress the judges will face elimination. Elimination challenge is to create a dish that will have a clear taste of coffee.
Markus Aujalay shows the competitors how to create dove dish and their challenge is to recreate the dish. The person who makes the best dish will be chosing the next ingredient for the competitors in the elimination challenge. A failure leads to a teary goodbye.
The jury is inviting the competitors on a culinary journey to Tokyo. After being acquainted with japanese tastes, it is time for a competition where they must create their own bento box. Those who doesn't convince the jury will face the elimination challenge, which is a taste test.
The competitors own refrigerators is shown and they will have to cook their favorite dish that their family have chosen. They must create two dishes that will be photographed and everything must be perfect when the jury will judge the dish and the cookbook idea. The best one goes straight to the finals.
