Season 7 / Episode 19 and airs on 10 December 2025 12:00
It was only a matter of time - Join costars Tom Welling (Clark Kent) and Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor) as they dissect a new episode every week from one of the greatest shows of all time, Smallville.
We're back with season 7 as we uncover new mysteries, meet new people, and rediscover ourselves a bit in the most Bizarro way possible.
Supergi--er-- Kara-El has arrived. Join us and special guest, Laura Vandervoort as we discuss her Smallville debut, learn how to be human, and get absolutely ship-blasted.
Smallville serves lewks as Kara enters the Fall Harvest beauty pageant and makes some meteor-infected frenemies in Season 7 Episode 3, Fierce. Join us this week as we try to dig up some positive thoughts out of the time capsule.
Join us this week as we dig deep into our hearts for season 7 episode 4: Cure. We talk about resurrection, secret labs, and heartbreak, with a little music trivia to boot. Dr. Knox claims to have the fix for the meteor-infected, but can he convince us to give the episode a rose? Tune in and find out!
Lights! Camera! Season 7, episode 5: Action! Smallville becomes a hot set for the big screen adaptation of Warrior Angel. But real danger is afoot when an attempt is made on the lead actress' life (guest star Christina Milian). Clark gets heroic. Lionel flies off the handle. And Lex is still a nerd. Join us as we discuss epic saves and taser physics in this series highlight!
We revisit the past as Smallville uhh, also revisits the past. While searching for her lost crystal, Kara is kidnapped by the government and forced to relive a repressed memory about her father, Zor-El, and her aunt, Lara-El. Join us as we talk (and sometimes rap) through Helen Slater's Smallville debut, Kim Coates' Smallville exit and intergalactic love triangles in season 7 episode 6 LARA.
Kristin Kreuk joins us this week to talk about Lana's dark turn in Season 7, episode 7, WRATH. We talk about her growth as an actor and take a deep dive into what newfound power brings out in people. We also get way too into the science of intimacy between super-people. Will this episode surprise us? Tune in to find out!
We add a fresh kryptonite to the mix as we get into season 7 episode 8 BLUE. Lara returns to gift Clark a relic from his father but it may not give our hero what he needs when Zor-El comes back to enact revenge. And shocking reveal adds a new Luthor to the chat. Join us this week as we discuss the gravitational aura of Helen Slater, Tom's love of alleys, and decide on some powers we'd like to see from new kryptonite colors.
Erica Durance (Lois Lane) is here for the holiday special, Season 7 episode 9 GEMINI. We talk about balancing comic relief with drama and whether or not she'd be willing to replace Michael for Season 8. In the episode, Lois manages a mystery menace in the DP, the next level of Grant's secrets are revealed, and Clark's return feels a little off. Find out how long it honestly took for each of us to discover the twist at the end. Join us to see if Smallville has more Christmas spirit than Whoville.
Longtime Smallville writer/producer, Todd Slavkin joins us to break down his stellar directorial debut inseason 7, episode 10 Persona. We talk about raising the emotional stakes with Todd's ability to dig up the cast's best performances to date, sometimes even in one take. In the episode, Clark returns to take down Bizarro before it's too late. New friends are made, old enemies wreak havoc, and Lex finds a way to stoop even lower. Join us for one of our absolute favorite episodes of the series.
Black Canary herself, Alaina Huffman joins us to talk about portraying a knife-flinging badass in fishnets who also had to memorize highly technical dialogue. In the episode, we talk about Oliver Queen's return, more heartbreak for Lois, and the fate of the Justice League. Smear on gobs of eye-liner and suit up for an action-packed week.
This week we go deep into Lex's psyche with the 12th episode of season 7: Fracture. When Lex is shot in Detroit, the only way to save him is for Clark to take a journey into his mind, where he confronts little Alexander and the darkness he's been carrying since childhood. And yet somehow we have fun discussing friendship and sexytimes in a solid episode.
Number 3 on his passport but number 1 in our hearts, Sam Jones III joins us to talk abut Pete's single episode return in season 7, episode 13, Hero. We talk about how fun and easy it is to come back to the Smallville set even when the subject matter is a little strange. In this one-off, Pete gains stretchy powers after chewing meteor-infected gum at a OneRepublic show at the Stride factory. It's a lot to swallow (but don't because that'll stay in your system for years). Great to see our old friend, but will this 45 minute gum commercial/concert appeal to the guys? It's too late to apologize but there's time now to find out!
Friend of the pod and super director/cinematographer Glen Winter joins us to talk about directing season 7, episode 14: Traveler. We discuss opening up the world of Smallville and the technical aspects of what it takes to pull off this kind of show. In the episode, Virgil Swann's daughter, Patricia, arrives to cut a deal with Lionel and uncover the secrets of the Veritas society. Clark gets ambushed and trapped in a kryptonite cage by a rogue agent, hellbent on his annihilation. Who will come to the rescue this week? Tune in for more insightful discussions on a great episode!
The pieces are coming together but we still have questions in Season 7 Episode 15: Veritas. When Clark and Kara attempt and fail to thwart Brainiac, Lana suffers the consequences. As we grapple with this season's direction, perhaps a surprise call with creator Al Gough may provide the answers. We rant, we rave, we even dole out advice. Join us for a legitimately thought-provoking episode.
In this Talk Ville episode, Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum revisit a pivotal Smallville episode. Their discussion includes behind-the-scenes anecdotes and emotional reflections. A musical contribution also features.
Olsen, James Olsen himself, Aaron Ashmore joins us to talk about his featured episode, S7E17 Sleeper. He talks about stepping into Tom's starring shoes as well as a slick pair of dancing shoes. When Jimmy's tapped by the FBI to keep tabs on Chloe, he goes full-on James Bond and tests his loyalty to his girl and his country. Meanwhile Lex makes it to Zurich to dive deeper into the secrets of Veritas. It's a fun one, but be on the lookout for the FBI-eh!
It's the end of the world as we didn't know it. In the hopes that he will put a stop Brainiac's diabolical real-life plan, Clark is zapped into an alternate reality where he doesn't exist and Lex is president. This episode is extra special, as the director is our very own Tom Welling. We'll talk about his process, perspective, and the infamous teleprompter story. We also get hung up on what the worst hotel in Vegas is for some reason. Join us for another classic episode.
