Teen Mom 2 is a spin-off of the MTV documentary series 16 & Pregnant. We are following the stories of four girls from the first season of 16 & Pregnant who are facing the challenges of their first years of motherhood. Each episode interweaves stories of four teenage girls who are navigating the bumpy terrain of adolescence, growing pains, and coming of age - all while facing the responsibility of being a young mother.
Each story offers a unique look into the wide variety of challenges young mothers can face: marriage, relationships, family support, or lack thereof, adoption, finances, rumors among the community, graduating high school, starting college, getting (or losing) a job and the daunting and exciting step of moving out of the nest to create their own families.
Leah blushes over a new guy, Bar and Ashley's off-camera wedding brings anything but marital bliss, and Briana lawyers up as Kail tries to sue her for defamation of character.
Jade feels Sean's absence when Kloie develops a painful toothache, Leah goes on a first date with Jaylan, Ashley and Bar spend time apart, and Briana appears on Kail's ex Chris's podcast.
Ashley and Bar navigate their cohabitation, Leah gets closer to Jaylan, Briana and Javi reach a breaking point during a family vacation, and Jade is thrown for a loop by her mom's bad news.
Jade has a revelation ahead of her mom's time in jail, Briana wants Luis and Devoin to support Stella and Nova when they return to school, and Ashley clashes with her family over Bar.
Leah returns from Costa Rica with love on her mind, Briana and Devoin commit to getting along for Nova, Ashley sets healthy boundaries, and Jade looks for a new home as Sean heals in rehab.
Leah contemplates the challenges of her long-distance relationship with Jaylan, Briana copes with Stella's medical issues without Luis, and Jade and Kloie fly to Austin to reunite with Sean.
Kail and Javi face coparenting challenges, Ashley and Bar look for a new home, Briana has an emotional confrontation with Luis's parents, and Leah hits a wall with her real estate exam.
Ashley and Bar get vaccinated, Briana confronts Stella's absent father Luis, Leah receives exciting news from Jaylan, and Jade and Kloie scope out their new digs.
Kail's not sure what to make of Javi's flirty behavior, Nova's parents aren't happy with her bad grades, Bar processes his mom's upsetting news, and Leah ponders a third trip down the aisle.
