The Crow Girl begins with the gruesome discovery of a teenage boy's body discarded in plain sight. Determined to find who is responsible, DCI Jeanette Kilburn joins forces with psychotherapist Dr Sophia Craven to hunt the killer despite opposition from her superiors including confidant DI Lou Stanley.The investigation takes them into a dangerous world of historic abuse and murder. Together they uncover a chain of shocking events involving the disappearance of children that have gone overlooked for decades, as well as evidence of police corruption. As the body count rises and the two women are dragged into the depths of the murders, an intimacy starts to form between them, and so begins a complex, twisted love story. All the while, the killer is inching ever closer to home.
As DCI Jeanette Kilburn navigates her new relationship with Dr. Sophia Craven, a horrifying discovery at a pig farm brings new insight to the investigation. Meanwhile, an accident at a local church reveals a chilling buried secret.
Sophia gives a statement to the police. Jeanette fears that Victoria may target Beecham College headmaster Peter Drake & attempts to bring him into protective custody. Mike, at the mortuary, makes a surprising discovery.
Sophia worries that Victoria's memories are bleeding into her own. Jeanette & Mike identify the body in the crypt & seeking answers, visit Peter Drake. A new witness comes forward with shocking revelations as Victoria seeks answers from Mary.
Jeanette & Mike identify the girl from the freezer, leading them to the care home's owner. Meanwhile, officers make a discovery that provides new insight into a suspect as Sophia continues to experience Victoria's memories.
As Victoria issues a chilling ultimatum, a shaken Sophia leaves a message for Jeanette. Meanwhile, David goes on the run after CCTV places him at Mary's murder site, mounting evidence forces Jeanette to question Sophia herself.
With her career hanging in the balance, Jeanette returns to police HQ determined to solve the case before Verity removes her. A discovery from Sophia's flat reveals old secrets & new connections that tie the crimes together.
