Ten young adults who want help with challenges they have in their lives, turn up at Setnesmoen camp, to take part in Dag Otto Lauritzen's military self-development programme.
It is the first day in the recruits' new life. It starts with a slightly panicked meeting with the ensign and the requirements for order and cleanliness, and they are challenged to cooperate in their first exercise.
Is there meaning in the meaningless? The recruits are set to fill and move sandbags ad infinitum. And when the evening comes, a night of vigil awaits with Exercise falkeblikk.
After a long and cold night awake, more cold awaits, and even greater mental challenges, in Øvelse råk. Back in camp, the commander gives the recruits their first assessment in the first MF of the year.
The recruits are sent out on their first day in the field, and for some it is the first time they sleep in a tent.
The recruits are introduced to first aid, which they benefit from when they find the colonel and the major bloody on the side of the road.
At the last major test as recruits, it is decided whether they can continue in the squad and be accepted as aspirants. The råka are reunited, but this time they have to dive from råka to råka.
In the last part of Ice Ice Training, the recruits climb many heavy meters of altitude with skis and sleds. Once at the top, the feeling of mastery reaches new heights. Back in camp, the recruits proudly line up for the aspirant ceremony.
On their first day as aspirants, the squad gets to meet Bob and his family. It is a day characterized by stress, and which puts caring aspirant Åteigen to the test.
The aspirants are woken up at dawn and are sent out on the march in Exercise flag stress. The flag post that gives the highest score is the classic and feared backwards plunge, four and a half meters above the water surface in Isfjorden.
The aspirants are sent out on their first mission, and must manage without support from the commander. A branch of the Company's main enemy has occupied Felleskjøp's grain reception at Vestnes. The region is dependent on Tropp 2 regaining control of the reception.
It gets loud and airy when the aspirants have to go out on a beam outside a house roof, to take in the laundry, which Colonel Lauritzen has hung high above the ground for the occasion.
The enemy has struck again, and the squad must come to the rescue. The aspirants are told that they must immediately be introduced to elementary blasting techniques, survival, and not least be taught how to jump out of a plane with a parachute.
The aspirants must deprive the enemy of control of the Goldfish, the Colonel's new high-tech boat, and the boatyard where it is located. They must be deployed behind enemy lines, and must jump out over the fjord by parachute. Not everyone feels sure that they will make it happen.
The aspirants receive new orders from the Major. They make their way to the enemy's fuel depot up in the mountains, to prepare an ambush the next day. The aspirants get a freezing night outside, before they make their way to the enemy's depot and get ready to explode. There they get bad news.
The aspirants are preparing for another night in the freezing cold. The next morning they finally blow up the fuel depot and ambush the enemy, only to find that the operation takes yet another turn. But everything has an end, and those who have persevered to the end get their well-deserved honor, and the orange beret on their head.
Looks like something went completely wrong!
