On "Wine Warriors" viewers follow the host, William Browning, as he takes the audience on a journey through the messy process of what it takes to create the wine we all love and enjoy. "It can be a very bumpy road from grape to glass!" And no one knows that better than the Northern Michigan winemaking families featured in season one.
Host William Browning takes a journey to understand not just what goes into each glass of wine, but how's it's made and how the Wine Warriors that make it, do what they do.
After taking a slight detour with some minor off-roading, William finds his way back to Aurora Cellars to learn the inner workings on kegging wine and bottling.
William heads to Hawthorne Vineyards to tie the vines with some big machinery, and then to Chateau Chantal to do the process by hand.
After a glide around Traverse City, Mich., William meets with Larry Mawby, said to be the king of sparkling wine, to learn how the yeast gets removed from the bottles; disgorging.
