A&E Network presents 60 Days In, an unprecedented new, original docu-series following seven innocent participants who enter the dangerous world of incarceration at the Clark County Jail in Jeffersonville, Indiana, in an effort to expose internal issues and what really happens behind bars. As a result of the facility's recent corrupt history, Sheriff Jamey Noel has devised a program where seven participants will live among the facility's general population for 60 days without officers, fellow inmates, or staff knowing their secret. Around-the-clock cameras captured this unparalleled access in an effort to bring problems to light and give viewers a first-hand look as the participants adapt to unfamiliar and terrifying surroundings. 60 Days In is a warts-and-all view of what life is like behind bars, through the eyes of people who have never been charged with a crime or done time.
Innocent civilians selected to infiltrate Atlanta's Fulton County Jail include a special-education teacher who works with at-risk youth and a former corrections officer who wants to see what it is like when the roles are reversed.
The first five participants enter the Fulton County Jail and are immediately met with drug use, sexual behavior and what it feels like to be locked in a cell for 12 hours.
As participants settle into Fulton County Jail and new ones enter, inmate suspicions and power-plays keep everyone on edge.
Lockdowns result following a violent fight in the women's pod and an abuse of power in pod 600, proving that the luck of the draw with cellmates directly influences the jail experience.
The participants make uneasy alliances that could put them at risk, and face difficult obstacles in order to survive life on the inside.
A flood in the South Annex, escalating problems with cellmates, and respect issues push our participants to the brink of despair in the Fulton County Jail.
