When „ Capo " Sonja Schwarz ( Chiara Schoras ) finds a carefully placed newborn on her doorstep in the morning and shortly afterwards the body of a young woman is discovered, a unusual crime. Could there be a motive for action? Who is the secret father? To understand the context, Sonja targets the Sutterer community and the charismatic Franz de Billio ( Oliver Stokowski ). His dispute with a budding priest ( Simon Frühwirth ), whom Sonja observes, the Commissioner finds as suspicious as his harshness in dealing with dropouts. Soon she begins to recognize conflicts that have been doomed to the victim.
The murder of 15-year-old Lisa, daughter of the respected local mayor Karl Brandl, has the residents of the village of Kemmern in an uproar. As Inspector Sonja Schwarz begins her investigation, the regulars at the local bar are already certain: Lukas, ten years older than Lisa, whom the victim regularly visited against her father's wishes, must be the perpetrator!
The traditional lodge "Treue Brüder" (Loyal Brothers) champions ideals such as community and unconditional loyalty—but behind the facade, less noble machinations are at work, suspects "Capo" Sonja Schwarz.
