The series of documentary programs "This is a real story" will tell about high-profile crimes committed in Russia since the early 2000s. Behind each trial is a social drama: poverty, phobias, loneliness or mental illness that no one noticed.

In 2009-2014, members of the "GTA Gang" operated on the M4 "Don" highway: they placed homemade spikes, and when cars stopped, killed and robbed the drivers. Seventeen people died at their hands. Nine members of the group were punished, but the case is not over yet - several criminals are on the international wanted list.
