A couple plan to transform a Victorian terrace in York into their home, developers in Rainham, Kent, want to build flats on land sandwiched between two busy roads, and investors hope to restore a flood-damaged Cumbrian property back to its former glory. Martin, Lucy and Dion meet the new owners to hear their ambitious plans.
A damp and dingy basement flat in Kilburn in London with space for an extension, a former post office in Gedney Dyke in Lincolnshire and a bungalow in Cornwall's Liskeard are sold under the hammer. Two of the new owners plan to make their auction buys their home, while the third wants to create a family home to sell on. Martin, Lucy and Dion tour the properties and meet the new owners.
A large listed Georgian house in Faversham in Kent is given the wow factor, and developers in Witham St Annes in Lancashire and New Southgate in London also deliver top-notch finishes on their very different flats. Martin, Lucy and Dion follow all the progress.
Martin, Lucy and Dion travel the country looking at properties bought at auction by investors hoping to make some money. Lucy is in Catford to follow progress on a one-bedroom flat its new owners hope to turn into a two-bed. Dion is in Wigton looking at a house with a flying freehold, and Martin is in a large end-of-terrace house in Blackpool close to the tower and illuminations.
Lucy talks to a developer with ambitious plans for a three-bed semi in South Norwood in Croydon, Martin looks round another semi in Derby's Alvaston and Dion follows the progress of a house damaged by the 2015 Cumbrian floods restored to its former glory. All three properties were sold under the hammer, bought by developers hoping to make good investments.
A trio of three three-bedroom properties make for two forever homes and an investment flat. Dion follows progress on a mum-of-two's dreams of transforming a Victorian house in Newcastle-under-Lyme into a wonderful family home. Lucy meets a film extra modernising an investment flat in Thamesmead, and Martin catches up on a four-year project to upgrade a family home in East Taphouse in Cornwall.
