Matt Baker and his wife and kids move back to the organic sheep farm where he grew up in the Durham hills to help secure its future.
The family gets hands on for lambing season, and seeks the help of a friend to make the bank behind the farmhouse more stable, before rainfall causes a landslide.
The Bakers get to work on setting up CCTV cameras in the goat stables, and Matt reveals plans for a low maintenance allotment, complete with a greenhouse and bird feeder.
Lambing season continues and the Bakers build a field shelter to keep an eye on the ewes. And Matt and Mike add some finishing touches to the stable yard.
Janice says an emotional goodbye to some of her beloved Hampshire Down sheep, and Matt's plan to build a patio and seating area in front of the farmhouse begins to take shape.
In summer, the sheep are sheared and Matt makes plans for a new home for the chickens that will give them access to free-range grazing. The family attempts the first honey harvest.
The family prepares for the hay harvest. The male lambs need to be separated from the females, and eggs are gathered for incubation and hatching in the barn.
