These home cooks excel in their own kitchen - but do they have what it takes to succeed against an elite pro under the lights and cameras of a culinary battle? After a star-ingredient themed cooking round, the fun continues as Eddie hits the streets to find a panel of six regular folks to blindly taste the dishes. To even the playing field, the home chef has to receive only one vote to win a $5,000 prize. Star chefs competing against the home cooks are Eric Adjepong, Anne Burrell, Maneet Chauhan, Scott Conant, Tiffani Faison, Amanda Freitag, Alex Guarnaschelli, Antonia Lofaso, Marc Murphy and Geoffrey Zakarian.
Eddie Jackson raises the stakes as he surprises home cook and real estate agent Jimmy with a beefy battle against world-famous chef Alex Guarnaschelli. Jimmy aims to impress at least one taster with his steak and stop Alex from taking the win.

Eddie Jackson packs in the pork when homemaker and home cook Wendy battles against celebrity chef and restaurateur Marc Murphy. Wendy will have to impress just one taster to keep Marc from sweeping the board.
Eddie Jackson has an amazing surprise for New York firefighter Stephen when he's put head-to-head against famous chef Anne Burrell. Stephen will have to take the heat if he plans to beat the pro.
Justin, a substitute teacher and vegan home cook, is blown away when Eddie Jackson gives him the chance to battle head-to-head against celebrity chef and restaurateur Tiffani Faison. Justin will have to learn the right skills to outcook the pro.
It's noodle-palooza as Eddie Jackson hosts an epic battle between home cook Drew and celebrity chef Amanda Freitag. Drew will have to use his noodle to get just one vote from a panel of tasters and prevent Amanda from taking home the win.
Eddie Jackson hosts a great chicken battle between Army veteran and home cook Gabrielle and celebrity chef Scott Conant. Gabrielle attempts to wing her way to victory and prevent Scott from walking away with a full win.
Eddie Jackson shocks nurse and home cook Helena when he reveals a surprise face-off against celebrity chef and restaurateur Maneet Chauhan. Helena will have to handle the pressure in order to deliver a dish worthy of the win.
Design director and home cook Alexis is left speechless when Eddie Jackson surprises her with a face-off against celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian. Alexis works to amaze the judges and get that one precious vote to prevent Geoffrey from winning the day.
