Heather and Alexis hash out their unfinished business at Tamra's Vena party before the ladies travel to Tokyo. Shannon struggles with Archie's health decline. Carmella's medical issues change the course of the trip. Tamra and Jenn get closer as roommates. Emily shares that things are falling apart at home with Shane. Gina brings everyone to a temple where the ladies learn their fortunes, both good and bad.

The ladies take in all the Tokyo sites as Tamra processes her fortune about her daughter. Jenn and Emily encourage Tamra to talk to Vicki about comments made years ago. When Tamra's emotions reach their peak, Shannon is there to help, bringing them closer. Heather and Gina question Shannon and Vicki's friendship. They all gather for a sushi-making class where things get messy as they navigate being in the middle of Tamra and Vicki's historical friendship problems.

On their final day in Tokyo, the ladies splurge on vintage designer goods and tensions flare as the group questions Gina's finances. Back in the OC, Carmella opens up about big life changes and decisions. Jenn starts a new business in the fitness space. Tamra makes an admission to Vick. Emily and Gina doubt the reality of Tamra's intentions with her friendships.

Coming off a friendship high from Tokyo, Jenn wonders if her rekindled friendship with Tamra is genuine. Heather comes to accept her relationship with her mother. Shannon finds a suitor at a dive bar. Vicki hosts a 20-year anniversary party attended by friends new and old, celebrating what brought them all together in the place where it all started.
