Dante Balestra is a philosophy professor who, after many years of absence, returns to Rome to take care of his son Simone. Fascinating and unconventional, the professor takes a class at the Leonardo Da Vinci high school where he applies his nonconformist teaching method and establishes a very special relationship with his students, including Simone himself.
September brings new beginnings and changes: Dante and Simone leave the villa to move in with grandmother Virginia, while Anita, Viola and Manuel start a new life elsewhere. But the most painful change is that Anita and Dante are no longer together.
Dante and Anita give in again to the attraction that has never really left them. At school, Irene firmly imposes her ideas on her colleagues, but when it comes to her daughter Greta her certainties falter, revealing a mother-daughter relationship full of shadows and fragility.
