Next Episode of Der letzte Bulle is
Season 6 / Episode 5 and airs on 08 December 2025 19:15
A police officer reawakens from a coma that has lasted for 20 years. He has to find out how the world has changed.
Mick has quit the police force and lives in a cabin in the woods. His colleagues miss him, especially Andreas, who has to deal with Mick's nerdy successor. But Mick has no intention of returning; he is too disappointed in his former friends and colleagues. That changes when Andreas has to solve the murder of a taxi driver and discovers that the murder weapon is the same gun that shot Mick into a coma!
Three fully loaded delivery vehicles are stolen. During his investigation, detective Jan Schreck is killed: an unknown perpetrator drives a nine-centimeter nail into the private investigator's heart—using a pneumatic nail gun. The murder weapon is found on board one of the stolen vehicles, and the parcel thief and the private investigator's killer could be one and the same person. But is the cruel deed really the work of the merciful Ulrich Huberty?
One night, bachelor and bon vivant Sascha König is shot dead in a car repair shop. The first clue leads Mick and Andreas to Dr. Matthias Schatz's fertility clinic. But the chief physician claims innocence and ignorance. Sascha had been in frequent contact with the pretty Ina Richter lately. This did not escape the attention of his girlfriend Leonie... What she did not know, however, was that Ina is happily married—to a woman.
When an explosive device planted by a suspected sleeper terrorist detonates at a bus stop in a suburb of Essen, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) immediately arrives on the scene and takes command of Mick's precinct. This doesn't sit well with the last cop—he doesn't like being told what to do and also sees the case very differently from the pompous officials in Wiesbaden. Mick and Andreas begin to ask questions, irritating not only the assassin's friends and widow, but also the BKA.
After a scuffle with a local resident, Benno, a homeless man, falls to the ground in a playground on a quiet, small street and is dead. Thanks to Meisner, Mick and Andreas quickly discover that Benno was killed with rat poison and did not die from the fall. But who poisoned the homeless man?
Of all places, a long-sought-after serial arsonist tampers with Mick's car. The perpetrator turns out to be a minor girl: Julia Brinkmann. Mick and Andreas aren't responsible for arson—until they find a dead body in a burned-out car wreck. It's Greta Gerlach, the ex-wife of a construction magnate, at whose wedding Greta had drunk plenty of champagne and then taken a nap in her parked car.
Spending your final hours in a temple of love—for some, a wonderful idea. For tax inspector Martin Trabert, it's a nightmare. He doesn't die in the arms of a beautiful woman, but is roasted in a sauna. For Mick and Andreas, it's a delicate and tricky case: while the suspects prove to be innocent, the investigation takes a spicy turn when it emerges that a colleague from the police headquarters was also enjoying himself in the brothel on the night of the murder.
Mick and Andreas investigate at the Essen Police Academy, where they both trained—at different times, of course. Young police officer Silke Dresbach, who was determined to become the first woman in Essen's special task force, was murdered there. Did "conservative forces" at the academy want to prevent Silke from taking this career step? According to academy commander Thea Kiesling, Mick's assumption is completely absurd.
During a bank robbery in Essen, a young employee is shot and Mick's daughter Isa is taken hostage. Mick and Andreas rush to the scene. In a daring solo effort that naturally gets him into trouble, Mick manages to free Isa from the getaway car before the bank robber speeds away unrecognized. It turns out that the perpetrator knew Isa and that the robbery may have been just a diversionary tactic to kidnap her...
In a coal mine, 1,000 meters below ground, miner Horst Lubczeck has been found dead, killed violently. He was beaten to death and leaves behind a wife and daughter. At least the circle of possible perpetrators can be narrowed down considerably. But then Mick and Andreas make a discovery that gives them pause and causes a stir among the mine's workforce. A gold nugget is found in the pocket of Horst Lubczeck's miner's uniform! Gold in a coal mine?
Uschi wakes up in a strange apartment with no memory of what happened. Next to her lies her landlord, Wilhelm Inck, beaten to death in a huge pool of blood. Mick and Andreas have no choice but to arrest their old friend Uschi. While their colleagues believe in Uschi's innocence, an ambitious young prosecutor sees things differently: she was at the scene of the crime, fled from there, and owed the deceased a large amount of rent. A potential motive for murder...
Mick notices a young woman, Annika, sitting huddled and distraught in front of the police headquarters. She looks at Mick with tears in her eyes and claims to have killed her mother. Shortly afterwards, Mick and Andreas are in Annika's apartment. There is no sign of a body!
Carsten Wiechert is found dead in his apartment. He was thrown into a glass display case and suffered a broken neck. Mick and Andreas quickly discover that Wiechert always came home in the middle of the night, even though the inn where he worked closed its doors much earlier. It soon becomes clear that the respectable inn turns into an illegal casino at night, and the murder victim worked here as a croupier. But who had a motive for the crime?
